NBA to investigate alleged Kyrie Irving party video.
[Wojnarowski] Irving has missed four consecutive games for personal reasons and sources expect him to continue to be sidelined at least through Wednesday (Knicks) and Saturday (Orlando) games.

At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if he just retires a month into the season.

KD really took the hardest road when he left OKC. We just weren’t able to see that far into the future.
KD has the last laugh on us now

I wonder what KD makes of all of this.
[–][PHI] Joel Embiid lardbiscuits 504
I don't know, but it's along the lines of the Nets drama we all expected. A little earlier, but we all knew Kyrie was going to Kyrie.
My favorite part were all the people morally posturing the last few days acting like this was anything more than Kyrie just the being selfish, pretentious, and patronizing diva he always has been.
[–][TOR] Jose Calderon MasaiGotUsNow 25
the worst part is they tried to excuse his behaviour and say it's just a personal day, or that he's sitting out in reaction to what happened at the capitol. Even though his coach is saying he has no idea where he is and has no updates.
100% agree with you. I knew the entire time it was Kyrie just being the selfish, pretentious, and patronizing diva he always has been.

No way the Rockets agree to that, an unhappy Harden is easier to deal with than Kyrie on his best day
[–][PHI] Shavlik Randolph JerKroSRL 1367
At least unhappy Harden shows up to work (eventually) and balls out.
[–]Thunder russellzerotohero 178
Missed no games. Only a few preseason practices. And of course he still balls out every night.

[–]Suns majahuasca 691
handsome millionaire who’s elite at his craft and obviously has tons of friends and family to fall back on. he could actually have some issues so i’m not gonna say he’s exempt from empathy but he makes it hard to feel bad for him
[–]Pistons xWUMBOx 431
I don’t mean generally. I mean in this situation. Nobody should feel bad for him right now as it looks like he has no valid reason to be doing what he is doing.
How do you think Joe Harris or Levert feel about this “leader” doing this? Man Kyrie sucks as a teammate
I dont think anyone other than himself sees him as a leader.
How did the Nets watch what happened with the Celtics and think it would go fine for them? As soon as Kyrie was gone the team came together and improved. He has the ability to be the best guy on the floor any night, but he also will do everything he can to tear the team apart.
Pretty sure Durant demanded it as a condition for him going to the Nets because they're friends. That's the only rational explanation. It would've made way more sense to keep DLo who was coming off his best year, is an infinitely better/ more reliable teammate than Kyrie, and doesn't have the injury history of Kyrie.
Durant got Kenny Atkinson fired so it's pretty logical that the team caters to his wishes.
Hey, maybe stop calling this guy a "free-thinker" and start calling him a clown.
Lol nope. People are still going to suck him off.
2021, where a flat earther gets defended for breaking COVID protocols lol. All because he's exceptional at dribbling a ball.
[–]Lakers Saint-West 190
It sucks knowing that after one week Kyrie will say something cute in the media and these guys will immediately be like "smh this sub vilifies him so much, he's just a smart and passionate dude who cares about the people."
[–]Celtics BaesonTatyummm 35

[–][BOS] Kemba Walker NeilingTebow 150
Should be suspended for a month without pay. Use a superstar as the example for the rest of the league. Kyrie will get his personal time off for awhile that he so desires and has plenty of money so it won’t impact him much but sends a strong message to the rest of the league. Can use his forfeited salary to fund small business impacted by Covid

i dont care what anyone says Kyrie is one of the most unlikable characters to grace the nba over the last 30 years. He just reminds me of an ungrateful spoiled little kid.
[–]Raptors JimBeefLakeMonster 77
What a selfish ass, do nba players fight at practice because any other league and this guy would be shunned and publicly embarrassed. Why do people in this league put up with this stuff? The bare minimum of professionalism is not too much to ask.
Well hes really really good. If he was average he'd be cut or traded but you can’t really replace him so you have to put up with the bullshit. Doesn't make it acceptable though
[–]Heat jcheeseball 11
I don't know how anyone who has followed basketball over the past decade would have any confidence in kyrie playing a full season of basketball. The guy has some serious mental issues.
[–]Cambridge 45 3526
Imagine how unhappy kd had to be in GS to leave to go play with psycho kyrie
[–]Warriors GirlsLastTour 67
Idk, he was pretty damn unhappy (but still ballin' out) his last year w/ GSW, and he started getting that way in his 2nd year. He's probably fine w/ the decision to leave, but maybe regretting who he chose to play with? Who knows.
[–]Lakers PM_ME_UR__UPVOTE 2950 指標 9小時前
KD just seems like grass is always greener on the other side kind of guy. I mean thats fine, a lot of people are, but it often leads to shit like this where everything is crazy.
[–]Cambridge 45 646
He should've gone to LAC with kawhi
Clips would've lost without him the first year and then could win with him back now. I get why he left gs he was getting so much disrespect even from those in the warriors organization.
KD woulda been crucified again had he gone to the Clippers
[–]Arcille 148
Going from OKC to GS who just won a ring then going from GS to joining Kawhi who just won the last ring before this year would look even worse for him lmao
[–]Thunder moneybooy 340
KD did some weird things but he’s always been super professional as a player
I hated hard on his GS decision but truthfully the only issue is he seems to have very thin skin as a public figure. Personally and professionally though there doesn’t really seem to be any problems with him.
[–]Warriors Mygaffer 100
Almost every player who has played for the organization over the Kerr era have said only great things about playing for the organization and culture.
I think KD was hoping that coming to the Warriors, winning championships, would catapult him into all time greatest conversation and he'd be very popular and when that didn't happen it seemed to eat at him.
I wish him the best, he's a hell of a player.
[–]Lakers adonisgawd 516
This is simply amazing. I didn’t think kyrie would start pulling kyrie things until about mid to late in the season.
three weeks in and we already got it

If I were a GM he would the last top 20 player I would want on a max, and I would never consider super-maxing him.
Textbook definition of “not worth the trouble”.
I dont get why everyone is pretending to be surprised. Kyrie doesnt give a fuck about the fans or the media, he thinks he is being paid because he is good at basketball in a vacuum. Why would he play regular season games when he can get a max without trying?
“I’m the leader and coach, I can coast like lebron and turn it on in the playoffs”
nets fail to reach the playoffs, due to kyries personal reasons
[–][LAL] LeBron James SoundtrackToChaos 14
Steve nash doesn't deserve this bullshit
[–]Raptors ldnk 435
Look, I don't particularly care one way or the other. If Kyrie doesn't want to play basketball anymore fine. Whether that is due to personal mental health, just a general lack of interest, upset from the social and political issues the country is facing, or even a lack of faith in the COVID-NBA. I really don.t
I do think he should shit or get off the pot though. If he wants to run around at parties without wearing a mask. Retire or opt out of the season.
[–]Lakers Paranoides 6
He just works whenever he feels like to, obeys no rules and says/do whatever he wants to do.

[–]Tampa Bay Raptors Xerneous12_ 336

Not only that but also took all the blame & slander after Kyrie left in 2017 like he was the toxic teammate that drove Kyrie outta town and now nobody wants to play with him
